I’m an Italo-American that grew up in Italy and moved to New York at age twenty-five. Throughout my life art has been a great companion, my way to meditate, console myself, my passion. Art keeps me young. I managed to make it my form of income, working first as 2d animator, 3d animator, character designer, 3d modeler, and illustrator. I was blessed to work with fantastic artists. I admire their dedication and strength of vision. For the past 22 years, I have dedicated myself to teaching. It has been a great experience, my students taught me a lot about collaboration, talent, and courage. They still are inspiring me today. As Henry Matisse once said: “Creativity takes courage”, and perhaps I need some too. I love discovering new media, and experimenting with organic elements, clay, wool, wood, and paper. I try to use, as much as possible, elements that are consistent with my love for the planet. I love to animate animals, humans included, I’m aiming to capture the subtleties and the language of sincere performances. Some may see a dichotomy between craft hands-on work and digital work, I just see potential to reinforce my passion for nature. Using wool or twigs allows me to feel part of a natural chain where everything goes back from where it came. This site represents some of my work, the ones that I’ve kept, and the ones I remembered to take pictures of before letting it go.
I hope you enjoy looking at my work as much as I enjoyed making it!
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”
